My name is Krysten, I’m so glad to meet you. Welcome to my little space on the internet!

I am a Hawai’i born Filipina currently living in Washington state. After having lived all over the continental US I am excited to be back in the pacific northwest and cannot wait to see how this chapter unfolds.

I met my husband, Johnathon, at the campus mailboxes of Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska - which we lovingly refer to as our “PG-13 Hallmark meet cute”. Together we have three fur babies - two dogs, Simmie and Rain, and a cat, Ava. My favorite thing to do is to go where I’ve never been. I have a passion for travel and believe that sharing a delicious meal with others is one of life’s greatest pleasures. I also enjoy spending time outside with the pups, watching Chinese and Korean dramas, and reading cheesy romance novels.

I inherited my dad’s sweet tooth and have always preferred baking to cooking. In fact, I didn’t learn how to cook until after I graduated from high school. This year, I decided that I wanted to attempt new recipes, improve my cooking technique and eat delicious food.

Ideally, I’d like to use this website to merge those two parts of me, and hopefully you’ll get to know me just a little better.
